[Itinerary] 14th Feb: Nelson - Greymouth

Today please make your way down the west coast to Greymouth (approx. 290kms / 174ms).

Greymouth was once the site of a Maori Pa (fortified village). The town has a long gold-mining history and a visit to the
Pioneer GoldMining Village is well worth a visit. Greymouth is also home to Monteiths Beer, and boasts many local short walks including the Southern Alps Panoramic Lookout, Coal Creek Waterfalls or the giant trees of the rainforest.
