Countdown

It's 48 days until we leave the country for New Zealand. I'm getting more and more anxious about it by the day and we've still got Christmas to get through yet. So much other stuff to get through before we head off and its funny to think that by the time we get back it will already be March. Christmas and New Years will be long forgotten.

The idea of this blog is for friends and family to track our progress through the lands of Mordor... oops, sorry, through the two islands of New Zealand. We are racing the Sun around the Earth, flying from Heathrow to Los Angeles, where we will make a brief stop before frog-hopping over the Pacific and into Auckland.

If we get it right we should be blogging at least once every two days (most of the hotels say they have web access), and as long as the Nintendo DS's we will be getting for Christmas (I just know we'll be getting them, okay) survive, the trip should be hunky-dorey.
